Physiotherapist
Paulina is a Doctor of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy specialising in sports injuries. She is also an active physiotherapist and researcher, with an interest in the biomechanical links between movement and injury. Her clinical approach to each individual patient always includes the latest evidence, which in combination with her vast experience leads to an effective and comprehensive treatment process.
Paulina qualified as a physiotherapist in 2009 in Poland. She immediately started working with amateur athletes (including Polish Wheelchair Rugby team) and shortly after started her MSc degree, which she graduated from in 2011. Her passion for science and sports related injuries led her to commence a full-time PhD at the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), where she investigated the biomechanical signatures of groin pain in athletes while still working clinically with patients in private practices around London.
During her PhD Paulina has worked with a number of athletes, including top football, rugby and hockey clubs in UK. Her innovative research and novel approach to injury has led to presenting her research on a number of National and International Sports Medicine Conferences and gaining an international recognition as a researcher. She graduated with a title of Doctor of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2015, and is still associated with QMUL as an Honorary Lecturer.
Paulina is an experienced clinician with a passion for complex cases and high functioning patients. She puts each patient at the centre of the treatment process, pushing each individual to achieve his or her highest goals while creating a safe and friendly environment. Her passion for sports and performance related injuries comes form her life-log love for sports –
Paulina has been a semi-professional junior swimmer, she has been horse riding and snowboarding for over 20 years, she has also been sailing regularly for 10 years.
When she’s not in clinic you’ll find Paulina weight training in the gym or outdoors – cycling and hiking around the English countryside, or under sails somewhere between Greek islands!
