Oli is an experienced Senior Physiotherapist currently working for the UK Sports Institute and seconded to British Triathlon (BTF) alongside his role at Marylebone Health (CHHP). He has been providing physiotherapy services for the British Triathlon Federation (BTF) for over 10 years, supporting and leading world class programme (WCP) podium athletes rehabilitation and therapy needs throughout the London, Rio, Tokyo and now LA Olympic cycles. Within this role Oli enjoys the challenge of helping athletes return from injury to world class performance under time critical conditions.
Prior to, and now alongside his role with British Triathlon, Oli has worked directly for a number of other Olympic sports including British Athletics (UKA), British Diving and British Weightlifting. He has also acted as lead physiotherapist on a private basis for a number of international middle and long distance track and field athletes (Irish Athletics / Athletics Kenya / Athletics Canada) as well as long distance triathletes (ironman and 70.3km) who compete on the professional circuit.
As well as his lower limb consultative role at Marylebone Health Group, Oli also consults privately in the north of England. Within both consultative roles Oli enjoys regularly collaborating with Sports medicine physicians, Orthopaedic consultants and high performance practitioners to help provide rehab plans for difficult lower limb cases for high performance and recreational athletes.
Oli is also a regular guest lecturer on the post and undergraduate physiotherapy, sports therapy and strength & conditioning (S&C) modules (UCL / Manchester Metropolitan University / Leeds Beckett University) teaching on the subject of managing lower limb injuries within the high performance setting. Oli is also a tutor for the Health Development & Performance Network (HDPN) where he brings his experience within the high performance setting to help teach the ‘Sporting Foot and Ankle’ in collaboration with James Moore and Andy Walling.
